PT. Straits Consultancy Services is a member of Straits Asia Resources
Ltd, and focuses on providing internal services to SARL's 2 coal mine
projects in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Due to rapid expansion in our
operations, we are looking for the services of the below positions to
be placed in South Kalimantan (Sebuku project) and East Kalimantan
(Jembayan project).
MINING MANAGER (2 people)
Responsibilities:
- Achieve annual production targets by effectively managing
contractors and employees and ensuring that sufficient resources are
available to achieve the target.
- Achieve safety target of zero injuries by ensuring that risks arc
adequately assessed, controls are identify and procedures are
developed, documented and communicated to relevant contractors and
employees.
- Achieve environmental target of no significant incidents by ensuring
that operations follow all environmental requirements and minimizing
impact of operations on the environment.
- Effectively leading and managing mining personnel and contractors to
optimize production, safety, environmental and cost performance, and
building a positive work culture.
- Participates in and effectively contribute to the management of the
entire mine site in order to achieve the best possible performance of
the mine.
TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT (1 person)
Responsibilities:
- Supervise mine planning engineers and ensure that design for all
mining pits, dumps and accesses are completed to the required standards.
- Prepare and communicate mining and dumping schedules, mine plans and
production targets for the mining contractor and all mining personnel,
and ensure that the long term and strategic mine plans are achieved.
- Monitor all mining activities and to ensure the mine plan is achieved.
- Manage the mine geology department and ensure that coal mining meets
the required quality standards, coal recovery is maximized and that
geotechnical risk is managed with monitoring and analysis of slope
stability.
- Manage the survey department and ensure that all survey requirements
are achieved.
Requirements:
- Male and min. Bachelor (S1) of mining engineering from good
reputable university.
- Min. 4 years experience for Technical Superintendent and min. 6
years experience for Mining Manager for coal mining projects.
- Has good and strong leadership.
- Good communication in English (both writing and verbal) is a MUST.
- Has knowledge and experience in mine design, scheduling and planning
to meet production target.
- Familiar with Ms. Office, experience using Surpac or Minex
experience would be an advantage but not critical.
- Hard working, loyal, good team work.
