Program Assistant at the Judicial Reform Team
On October 2003, the Supreme Court released Five Reform Blue Prints
regarding Human Resources Management reform, Judicial Financial
Management, Education and Training system, create Judicial Commission
reform. Further in January 2004, the Supreme Court & National
Development Planning Bureau released a Blue Print of Tipikor and
Commercial Court. The Supreme Court further formed a Judicial Reform
Team consists of Core Team, Escort Team and Assistance Team.
Currently the Judicial Reform Team is coordinated directly by the
Head of the Supreme Court based on KMA/168/SK/X/2007 which is
responsible to help speed up various aspects in judicial reform
process through coordination between institutions and donors,
monitoring reform work, publication of reform work progress through
Newsletter and Website.
On day to day basis, the Judicial Reform Team is currently supported
by 3 consultants in Reform Assistance Team whose main task is to
support the substance & strategy of the Judicial Reform Team together
with Reform Work Team. In doing their daily tasks, the Assistance
Team have to report directly to Reform Team Coordinator and Head of
the Supreme Court.
Thus, the Assistance Team requires 1 (one) full time Program
Assistant. His/her main task would be to assist in managing the
Reform Teams's admin work. The Program Assistant will report to the
Assistance Team and Reform Team.
Job Description of Program Assistant:
1. Conduct on-line research on judicial reform, legal
development that support the Assistance's Team performance.
2. Support the Assistance Team in updating donor mapping and
progress on reform activities.
3. Manage the program database system (incl. Hardcopy and
softcopy) consists of information on Reform Team counterparts such as
State institutions, donors, or other related institutions, personnel
data, correspondence and finance.
4. Manage meeting agenda and participate in Reform Team meetings
and other meetings as instructed by the Assistance Team, incl.
Creating minutes of meeting whenever required.
5. Review/check and process payments and reimbursements or
expenses submitted by members of the Assistance Team in accordance
with the existing financial regulations.
6. Receive guests, incoming calls and documents, incl.
Developing correspondence filing system.
7. Manage incoming and outgoing letters, fax, memmo and admin
report in accordance with the existing procedure.
8. Prepare admin and financial documents and reports for Team
Members such as field trips, special meetings, etc related to the
implementation of the Assistance Team assignments.
9. Provide informal translation/interpreting whenever required.
10. Prepare a monthly report of activities for The Asia
Foundation and submit monthly time sheets to The Asia Foundation as
reviewed by the Senior Consultant of the Assistance Team.
11. Conduct other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Indonesian citizen
2. Minimum holds a Bachelor degree in Law or Social Science.
3. Possess adequate English, especially in writing.
4. Possess basic knowledge of financial accounting.
5. Operate MS Office (MS Word and Excel, minimum).
6. Able to work for at least 1 year.
7. A team playeer but could also work as an individual.
8. Possess basic knowledge on judicial and beaucracy reform
process.
